Annual spring tree walk
By popular demand, the annual spring tree walk will be held twice this year: Tuesday, May 13 at 5 p.m. and Wednesday, May 14 at 5 p.m. The same tour will be given each day. A reception will follow at the CU Heritage Center in Old Main. Meet at the south entrance of the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History, rain or shine. Learn a foreign language this summer
Registration is now open for the summer foreign language classes through the Anderson Language Technology Center (ALTEC). Classes begin June 2 and run for eight weeks. Choose from Arabic, Chinese, French, Japanese and Spanish. These noncredit classes are open to all CU staff, faculty, graduate students, retirees and spouses. Tuition is $60.
Government publications announces completion of country guides
The Government Publications Library announces the completion of its country guides for all countries of the world. The guides database is linked at the bottom of the opening Chinook menu, or access the pages directly from the Government Publications website under Foreign Gvts/ International Orgs or by searching the Research & Subject Guides Database by country name. Selecting one of the resources in the catalog links generates a live Chinook search for country specific e-resources.
Use Interfolio to maintain student letters of recommendation
A reminder to faculty: Career Services is now partnering with Interfolio to maintain and mail out letters of recommendation. Recommendation writers may either send their letters electronically or mail a hard copy to Interfolio. Electronic upload requires the writer to open a free writer's account.
