Flagship 2030 update
Chancellor G. P. "Bud" Peterson presented a draft of the campus strategic plan, Flagship 2030, Transforming CU-Boulder, Transforming Colorado to the Board of Regents at their Aug. 16 meeting in Colorado Springs. Feedback from the regents was positive and encouraging. You can review the Chancellor's PowerPoint slides July 16 draft and offer your comments on the Flagship 2030 website. The final draft should be ready by mid-September. The final plan will be submitted to the regents for approval in late November. Additional campus feedback will be gathered throughout the fall and at an Oct. 1 Open Forum—stay tuned for details.
Discounted faculty/staff admission for CU volleyball tournament
Support the Buffs in their home volleyball tournament, the Colorado Invitational. Show your Buff OneCard at the Coors Events Center ticket office to receive $3 admission for their first home match of the season on Aug. 31. The ticket office will open at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31 for the CU Volleyball vs. UNC Wilmington match that begins at 6:30 p.m. Also, receive free admission to the match on Saturday, Sept. 1 when the team takes on Central Florida at 6:30 p.m. Join the Buffs for their final tournament match on Sunday, Sept. 2 at noon against California. Show your Buff OneCard at the Coors Events Center ticket office any time after 11 a.m. to receive $3 admission.
Chancellor's campus address is Sept. 11
Chancellor G.P. "Bud" Peterson's annual address to the campus community, co-hosted by the Boulder Faculty Assembly, will be held Tuesday, Sept. 11 from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Old Main Chapel. This is a good opportunity to hear campus updates and goals for the year, and to catch up with colleagues you may not have seen for awhile. A continental breakfast will be served outside on Norlin Quad. The chancellor's address starts at 8:15 a.m.

CU vs. CSU blood drive Sept. 10-14
A CU vs. CSU blood drive competition will be held Sept. 10-14 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in UMC 235. The drive is co-sponsored by Boulder Campus Staff Council, Bonfils Blood Center and UCSU. All donors should be sure to eat well and drink plenty of water before donating. New "Acronyms" list unscrambles CU's alphabet soup
What's in a name? ALTEC, BFA, ITP, UMAS—who are they? The new Boulder Campus Acronyms list offered on the Office of Internal Communications website translates those cryptic initials that label many of the places, groups, and initiatives on campus. Our goal is to include everything from ABS to the WRC, and we need your help! If the campus acronym you've encountered is not decoded there, please contact us to have it added.
