Tom Cech celebrates 25th anniversary of Nobel Prize-winning research
A symposium in honor of the 25th anniversary of Distinguished Professor Tom Cech's Nobel Prize-winning research will be held July 12-14 in Muenzinger. Attendees much register. Cech's research showed that RNA can act as a catalyst in cell development, and earned him the 1989 Nobel Prize in Chemistry—the university's first Nobel honor. Former students of Cech will attend from around the world, presenting their own research over the three-day event.

CU Foundation staff earn two CASE bronze medals
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) recently awarded the research and advancement services staff of the CU Foundation bronze medals as part of the Circle of Excellence national competition. The creation of an automated donor biography device, which automatically collects donor information, and an Electronic Desktop Deposit, which improves donor satisfaction, were the winning entries.
