People Behind the Scenes
People Behind the Scenes

Who keeps our university in top shape? It's the People Behind the Scenes! Meet Omaira Bankston, who specializes in Spanish/English interpretation and training for Organizational and Employee Development.

What is one thing you would like people to know about the work you do?
One of the things that I do and would like people to know about it is the work I do with the Spanish speaking community at CU helping them with all type of issues. I also serve as an English/Spanish interpreter/translator for various departments.

What do you like best about being a part of the CU community?
What I like about being part of CU is the flexibility in my department and the people I work with. Also seeing people succeed by attending programs offered by CU like computer classes, ESL, GED programs, etc.

What is your favorite activity/interest outside of work?
My favorite activity outside work is exercising, reading, and spending time with my family.

To participate in People Behind the Scenes or to recommend a colleague, see the guidelines.
