IN THE SPOTLIGHT "Passages" tributes now being accepted
Last spring we started a feature called "Passages" to acknowledge colleagues who had passed on during the year (read part one and part two of last year's eulogies). We are now accepting this year's tributes for publication in the May 9 edition of Inside CU. We believe this is an important tradition to continue, as many of us have developed strong friendships with people we work with. When we experience the death of a coworker due to illness, accident or natural causes, it often leaves a personal and professional void. It's important to show our appreciation for the valuable contributions these employees made in our departments. If you would like to recognize a colleague who passed in the previous 12 months (May 2006-May 2007), please submit a 75-word tribute with his or her name, title and department, along with other information you would like to share. Pictures submitted in jpeg format may also be included. Please send the information to insidecu@colorado.edu or click on the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of this page. The deadline for submissions is May 2. If you have questions, contact Allison Sylvest, Inside CU editor, at (303) 492-8910 or Allison.Sylvest@Colorado.Edu. Passages is a recognition for recent employees; you can contact the Silver & Gold Record for obituary notices for retired employees. |
