Harvard professor unravels string theory at March 19 Gamow Lecture
Physics Professor Lisa Randall of Harvard University, this year’s selection to deliver the 42nd Annual George Gamow Memorial Lecture, will ponder the possibilities of an expanding universe in “Warped Passages: Unraveling the Mysteries of the Universe’s Hidden Dimensions,” based on her recent book of the same name. Randall holds a Harvard doctorate and taught at MIT and Princeton before returning to her alma mater. The Gamow Lecture will take place on Monday, March 19 at 7:30 p.m. in Macky Auditorium. Facilities Management and Housing map construction projects
The departments of Facilities Management and Housing are working together on a web-based map showing major construction projects impacting the campus. The departments will update the map four times a year, along with a general listing of all the major projects. The map and associated project descriptions may be found on the Facilities Management website.
Building Community Family Day at the Recreation Center
Join the Building Community Committee for a day of family fun at the Recreation Center, Tuesday, March 27, 10 am-5 pm. Food will be served 11:30 am-1:30 pm. Bring your kids and enjoy the pool, ice rink, climbing wall and more! There will be giveaways throughout the day, an instant prize wheel, a toddler room and additional activities for the whole family.
