Wardenburg's annual flu and meningitis clinic
Make sure you're vaccinated before flu season hits – come to the annual flu and meningitis clinic brought to you by Wardenburg Health Center. Flu shots are available to all staff, faculty and students Oct. 25 and 26, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for walk-ins at the CU Recreation Center. Cost is $25 for flu shots and $125 for Meningitis vaccinations. Pay with cash, check or credit card. Faculty and staff are encouraged to attend the clinic as Wardenburg will have a limited number of vaccinations available to high risk individuals thereafter. Celebrate Day of the Dead
Numerous events and exhibits in celebration of Day of the Dead will be featured at the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History. The celebrations, began by the Aztec culture, are meant to commemorate death and the departed. All events are free.

Cross Cultural Concepts of the Day of the Dead Symposium, Friday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. Death and dying will be discussed focusing on views and beliefs from around the world. Also, the movie "Death and Dying Cultural, Spiritual and Professional Perspectives" will be shown.

Cultures Crossing Borders of Life and Death Celebration, Thursday, Nov. 1, 6-8 p.m.
Art exhibits, altars, a poetry reading by Ramon del Castillo, a mask performance by Zarco Guerrero and free authentic food.

Family Day: Day of the Dead, Saturday, Nov. 3, 1-4 p.m. Local artists and storytellers come together to teach about Mexican traditions through hands-on activities for families.

Cultural Crossing Borders of Life and Death art exhibit will be shown Oct. 20 through Nov. 20 during regular museum business hours. Altar exhibits will be on display Oct. 24 through Nov.11 during regular museum hours. For more information contact the CU Museum of Natural History at 303-492-6892.

Schedule a Career Services presentation for students
Faculty or staff may schedule a presentation to provide students with an overview of what Career Services can offer them. Counselors also offer topic-based workshops (career planning, résumé/cover letters, etc.) for classes and campus clubs and organizations. To schedule a presentation or workshop contact Judy Hlawatsch or use the handy online presentation request form located on the faculty/staff pages of the Career Services website.
