The Wolf Law Building dedication
ceremony took place Friday, Sept. 8, with over
1,000 alumni, students, faculty, staff, special
guests, dignitaries, and friends of the law school
in attendance. Included in the festivities was
the dedication of the fireplace in the second
floor cafe to all of the University of Colorado
students who made the Wolf Law Building possible.

New ATLAS Building a Technology Beacon
The new ATLAS building, which opened this fall
to about 90 different courses from a wide range
of disciplines, is easily identifiable by its
prominent, lighted glass tower. That architectural
feature aptly serves as a metaphor: the ATLAS
Institute and the new ATLAS building are a
technology beacon for the University of Colorado

Happy 70th Birthday Artist Series
It was 1937, the height of the Great Depression,
when the Artist Series presented its first
event, a lecture by famed polar explorer Rear
Admiral Richard E. Byrd. In the ensuing 70
years the Artist Series has continued the tradition
of bringing the world"s finest entertainment
to Boulder. Throughout its history, the series
has sponsored over 420 concerts. Highlights
have included performances by such luminaries
as Isaac Stern, Beverly Sills, Wynton Marsalis,
Vladimir Ashkenazy, Marilyn Horne, Bobby McFerrin,
Van Cliburn, Jean-Pierre Rampal, the Martha
Graham Dance Company, and the Cleveland Orchestra. More >>
Jam-packed Arts and Culture Week Kicks Off Academic Year
CU-Boulder"s Arts and Culture Roundtable
invites you to experience a wide variety of
exhibits and performances during Arts and Culture
Week. Beginning Sept. 14 and continuing
through Sept. 20, a diverse array of CU-Boulder
programs will be hosting events highlighting
the artistic and cultural amenities available
on campus. The program was launched to recognize
student fee funding support for vital cultural

CU-Boulder Center For Asian Studies Receives More Than $1.8 Million In Grants
The University of Colorado at Boulder Center
for Asian Studies has been awarded two
grants totaling more than $1.8 million
from the U.S. Department of Education and
will begin new language programs in Farsi
and Indonesian. |

Uniting University of Colorado at Boulder
students, faculty, staff, alumni and the
community is the goal of a remarkably successful
student-run campaign that has sold more
than 13,500 gold T-shirts since 2004. |

CU-Boulder Officials Clarify 'Two-Strikes' Alcohol Policy
The University of Colorado at Boulder's "two
strikes" policy for enforcement of underage
drinking has become an effective way for
the campus to guide students, particularly
freshmen, toward more responsible behavior,
according to Jamal Ward, director of the
Office of Judicial Affairs. |
