Michael McDevitt Receives CIRCLE Grant
Professor Michael McDevitt of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication is the recipient of an $85,000 Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement grant. His study, "The Civic Bonding of School and Family: The Influence of Kids Voting USA in Priming the Domestic Sphere" will examine how schools, families and other multiple agents influence kids' political socialization. Rich Castro Retires
Rich Castro, intramural coordinator at the Student Recreation Center and Robert Stearns award winner, retired July 31 after 35 years of service. You can read about Rich"s many university and community accomplishments in an article in the Buffzone section of the Daily Camera.
