Campus Information Made More Accessible to Non-Native English Speakers
Because of its diverse work force, the university needs to communicate campus information in languages other than English. In addition to written translation, oral interpretation is needed on both an individual basis and for large meetings. Helping to fulfill that obligation is the new Spanish and Laotian Language Access to University Policy and Announcements program coordinated by Omaira Bankston of organizational and employee development. CU-Boulder Ranked 34th Best Public University By U.S. News & World Report
The University of Colorado at Boulder was ranked 34th among the nation's public universities offering doctoral degrees in U.S. News World Report's 2007 Best Colleges undergraduate rankings released Aug. 18.
CU-Boulder Library Awarded $264,000 To Lead Regional Training Effort
The University of Colorado at Boulder's Norlin Library has been awarded $264,000 to help librarians in five states make better use of public government information available online.
CU-Boulder Insect Expert Elected Entomological Society Fellow
University of Colorado at Boulder Professor Michael Breed has been elected a fellow of the Entomological Society of America in 2006 for his lifetime contributions to the study of insects.
