Kenneth Foote Elected President of National Geography Organization
Geography Professor Kenneth Foote has been elected president of the National Council for Geographic Education. He previously served as vice president of research and external relations for the organization from 2002 to 2005 and will serve as president through 2006. Foote has been a CU faculty member since 2000,
a Fulbright Fellow and chair of the geography department from 2003 to 2005. For more information about

John Meyer Receives NIRSA"s Highest Honor
John Meyer, Recreation Center Associate Director for Programs, has been awarded the National Intramural-Recreational Sports
Association Honor Award. Meyer was recognized with a medal and trophy at the association"s annual conference on April 8 in Louisville, KY. The award recognizes outstanding professional achievements and service to the association.

Liza Hensleigh Receives Community Builder Brick Award
Liza Hensleigh will receive a Building Community Campaign (BCC)
Community Builder Brick Award for her work with the students of Smith
Hall international residential academic program. She will be recognized for creating community, writing a weekly newsletter, organizing intramural teams and making the office a welcoming place for students. Liza also coordinates the Boulder Friends of
International Students, matching international students with host
