Women"s Resource Center Retiree Dinner
The WRC will host its fifth annual retiree dinner and silent auction fundraiser on Thursday, April 6, 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m. in UMC 235. Donations will include artwork and other items and services. The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, April 4. Tickets for the event are $5 for students and $10 for others. April 15 International Festival
The International Festival promotes and celebrates diversity among students and community members by providing a platform for international student groups to represent their culture, encourage rediscovery of international students' own background, and provide unity among international students in Boulder. The festival will take place April 15 and will feature representatives from about 23 different countries, along with free food samples, performances and music. Women's Studies TRANSforming Gender Symposium
The Women's Studies program presents “TRANSforming Gender: Sexualities, Cultures, and Identities Inside and Outside of Academy” April 5-7 in Old Main Chapel. The symposium will explore current issues within transgender and intersex communities and encourage discourse on topics that historically have been marginalized in academic settings. Highlight Your Program in 2006 Family Weekend Brochure
The Office of Parent Relations is seeking to publicize programs and departments across campus in their brochure and a local magazine during Family Weekend October 13-15. This is a tremendous opportunity to showcase your facilities, programs and personnel. Submissions will be received through April 15. Blue Ribbon Commission Report Online
The final report of the Blue Ribbon Commission on Diversity is available as a pdf file on the Office of Diversity and Equity Web site. Chancellor DiStefano will announce his response to the recommendations soon.
Staff Council Elections Update
Results for the recent Boulder Campus Staff Council elections may be viewed at Boulder Campus Staff Council 2006 Elections. Staff Council for system administration employees is currently accepting nominations to serve on the System Staff Council. The deadline to submit nominations is Thursday, March 30.
