New Background Checks Policy Now Online
The "Policy and Procedure on Background Checks for Security-sensitive Positions and Officers" has now been finalized and is available on the campus policy Web site. Faculty and staff are encouraged to visit the policy Web site often, as Boulder campus policies may be added or revised at any time. CU-Boulder Policies
Blueprints Conference
More than 900 people are expected to gather in Denver March 13-15 for a conference focused on programs scientifically proven to prevent or reduce youth violence, delinquency and drug use. Experts on youth development will speak at the conference hosted by the Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence, a part of the CU-Boulder Institute of Behavioral Science. Read Across America March 2
CU celebrates the joy of reading during National Education Association"s “Read Across America” March 2. Students, staff and the Buff mascot Chip will visit local schools to read their favorite Dr. Seuss books and will distribute books collected during the recent “Bagel for a Book” drive hosted by Moe"s Bagels. The CU Bookstore will be holding a Dr. Seuss birthday party 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with prizes and a birthday cake. Everyone is encouraged to share the joy of reading during this national celebration of literacy.
Shakespeare Oratorio Society Presents "Twelfth Night"
All are invited to an imaginative staged reading of “Twelfth Night” featuring CU actors Shirley Carnahan, Ray Kemble, Anne Sandoe-Thorp, Sam Sandoe, Melinda Scott, and retiree Chuck Squier. Performances will be held at Old Main Chapel on Friday March 3 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 5 at 2 p.m. Additional performances take place at the Boulder Public Library Auditorium on April 15 at 7 p.m. and April 16 at 2 p.m. All performances are free and co-sponsored by the Minority Arts and Sciences Program.
