Civic Engagement Institute Now Official The proposed CU-Boulder Institute for Ethical and Civic Engagement was granted institute status on Aug. 4. In development for the past year, the institute will assist current and new programs in making ethical and civic engagement a defining characteristic of our educational community. The School of Journalism and Mass Communication is developing the institute's first pilot program. Funding has also been provided to a variety of faculty across campus for new and revised course development involving ethical and civic engagement and guest speakers will visit the campus this fall.
