UCB is ranked third in the U.S. for the number of its graduates serving in the Peace Corps. Access Colorado is a three-year initiative that addresses high school and middle school retention, success and access to higher education through civic engagement programs in low-achieving schools in Boulder County. The PIIE Program will also be run in collaboration with career services. It will provide a limited number of fellowship grants each year to undergraduate students at CU-Boulder for full-time summer internships with government and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. UCB is the only public university in the country participating in this program. Click here for a link to the story.
