Why Have Others Joined CoTESOL? Back to top

CoTESOL is the well of fresh ideas and support that unites us professionally here in Colorado. I rely on my network of colleagues to stay informed of new trends and opportunities that are too numerous to explore by myself.

--Jean Echevarria

Being involved in CoTESOL has been a giant networking opportunity for me. I've met people from all over the state, found distant colleagues interested in the same things I'm interested in, and and used these connections to learn and to help others learn. The people of CoTESOL are a great professional resource.

When Does CoTESOL Meet?

An annual two-day Fall Convention features nationally recognized speakers, presentations by teachers, "hands-on" small group sessions, exhibits of new publications, awards presentations, and a business meeting. This convention is usually held in November.

The Special Interest Groups organize forums to meet the special interests and needs of members. These forums are usually held in conjunction with the Fall Convention or at other times throughout the year.

The CoTESOL Executive Board meets eight times a year to set directions, plan activities, and discuss matters pertinent to ESL in the state.
