Dear
Colleagues,
We are
writing to announce the 32nd annual CoTESOL
Fall Convention and to invite you to submit a proposal to participate. The convention will be held from October 24-25,
2008 at the Red Lion Hotel Denver Southeast.
This will be an opportunity for you to gain valuable insights and skills
and to enjoy the company of your colleagues.
The CoTESOL 2008 convention returns to the Red Lion Hotel
Denver Southeast this fall, site of several earlier CoTESOL
conventions. While many people were pleased with the facilities at the
Renaissance Hotel, last year’s site, that hotel was unavailable for our
preferred dates this year. Consider
treating yourself to a pleasant hotel stay at the Red Lion at a special rate of
$89 per night (including breakfast buffet for two), and be sure to book your
room early.
This year,
our convention theme is “Welcoming the World.”
Indeed, we have company coming! The TESOL world community will be
gathering for TESOL Denver in March, 2009. At our fall convention in October
2008, we’ll be getting ready to be good hosts for this exciting event. Of
course, as always, our convention will feature well-known plenary speakers,
insightful presentations, and enlightening exhibits.
And, the convention is always a
wonderful opportunity to network with your
Our success
relies on the participation and presentations of ESL professionals such as you,
so please make your plans to attend and think about submitting a proposal for a
paper, demonstration, panel, discussion, or poster session. For those of you who have never presented
before, we encourage you to take the plunge this year! It’s not only a great experience, but all
presenters receive a $10 discount on their registration fee.
