Fall Convention 2011 Updates

More than 700 ESL professionals attended the CoTESOL Fall 2011 Convention, November 11-12, at the Red Lion Hotel Denver Southeast. They were treated to 5 plenary speakers, over 125 presentations, 30 exhibitors, networking luncheons, a publisher raffle, entertainment, and the awards ceremony. Here are two post-convention announcements:
  • BEST OF CoTESOL: CoTESOL is happy to announce Karen Taylor de Caballero as the winner of the Best of CoTESOL 2011 for her presentation "Teaching Pronunciation: A Color-based Approach" . This means that CoTESOL will sponsor Karen at the 2012 TESOL convention in Philadelphia!
    Please congratulate Karen who, according to the reasons given by her nominators, really knew her stuff and opened their eyes to new ways of looking at pronunciation instruction. Her participants praised her for her clear, precise, interactive, and comprehensive presentation, stating that it was an extremely useful experience that was fun, humorous, interesting and easy to understand!
    CONGRATULATIONS Karen from everyone on the CoTESOL board and the membership! You deserve it!!!!!

  • 2011 Convention Evaluation Form. Win a free hotel stay at a Red Lion hotel. The convention evaluation is now open online. If you complete the form and wish to be entered in a drawing, you may win a free hotel stay at a Red Lion Hotel. There are just a few questions, and it should take no longer than 2-3 minutes to complete. Please help the CoTESOL Board of Directors improve next year's convention by taking a few minutes to complete the survey.
