"Fitting In, Standing Out: Schools as Contexts of Adolescent Development"
Rob's main field of interest is the life course and human development, with a special emphasis on social psychological approaches to educational and health issues. His current work focuses on the role of general developmental processes, including health and social relationships, in the educational experiences of young people, especially immigrant youth and poor youth.
This research is supported by grants from NICHD, the William T. Grant Foundation, the Foundation for Child Development, and the American Educational Research Association.
