"Children, Youth and Environments: A New Interdisciplinary Initiative"
Children, Youth and Environments (CYE) is a new initiative in the College of Architecture and Planning at the University of Colorado. Professor Van Vliet will be talking about its antecedents, mission, distinguishing characteristics, current and future activities, which include a proposal to establish a multidisciplinary center. He will also address the timeliness and relevance of the concern with children and youth in environments of disadvantage and present CYE as an opportunity to work across disciplinary boundaries in ways that connect academic research with real world issues.
