Visiting Scholar Program
2012/2013
The University of Colorado Population Center at Boulder invites applications for a 2012-2013 Visiting Scholar Program that will help support a semester or year-long visit to Boulder, the university, and center. We invite applications from national and international population scholars with interests in our signature themes - health and mortality, migration and population distribution, and environmental demography - and the desire to participate in center activities and perhaps collaborate with center affiliates. The center is part of the interdisciplinary Population Program and Institute of Behavioral Science. For more detail, see http://www.colorado.edu/ibs/pop.
We can supplement the visitor's own salary from a sabbatical or grant with support of up to $20,000 for the costs for travel, living allowance, and research. In special cases, we will consider visits for shorter periods. For questions or to express interest, please contact Rajshree Shrestha (Rajshree.Shrestha@Colorado.Edu). For applications, please submit to the same email address a one-page summary of research interests, a CV, and desired period of visit. The deadline for applications is March 1, 2012. The type and amount of financial support will be negotiated as part of the visitor offer.
