- Introduction to Multiple Imputation of Missing Data
- Patrick Krueger
- Missing data is a common problem in social and behavioral data. Many commonly used methods for dealing with missing data can result in seriously biased coefficients and standard errors that do not accurately reflect our uncertainty about the estimate. Although no method for dealing with missing data is perfect, multiple imputation (MI) is relatively easy to implement and provides a substantial advance over prior methods. This talk offers an introduction to the logic behind multiple imputation, and presents a simple example from Patrick's data.
