Adobe and Web
Adobe Site License
Adobe's desktop publishing and web design software products, including popular items such as Acrobat, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver, are now available, at very reasonable cost, through a site license program managed by the CU Bookstore Buffalo Chip computer store.
For faculty and staff on university-owned computers, one-time (non-expiring) licenses and two-year upgrade plans are available. (Currently the two-year plans are prorated down to 18 months due to the timing of the new license contract.) All purchases must be made with an IN or ACard and the optional upgrade plan must be purchased at the same time as the basic software. Installation files must be downloaded from the manufacturer's website or ordered on physical media for an extra charge. Computing and Research Services can handle the installation for you, bypassing that additional charge. For ordering and installation assistance, email ibssupport@colorado.edu, email ibssupport@colorado.edu, or call 303-492-2148.
Student purchases under the site license must be made in person at the Bookstore, with CU identification. Installation discs are included and the software may be installed on home machines. Currently, for a limited time, faculty and staff may also purchase software for home machines, under these student conditions.
Price lists showing the complete range of products covered are posted on the Bookstore's website. Note that, in some browsers, you may have to scroll to the bottom of the page to see the links to the "Student" and "Departmental" price lists.
