- 2005 Program (PDF)
- This two day colloquium brought together scholars from Brown University (USA), the University of Colorado at Boulder (USA), the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa), and the African Population and Health Research Center (Kenya). The primary goal of the colloquium is to create a rich scientific environment that facilitates interaction and learning among international colleagues, stimulates future collaborative work between participants, and enhances mutual academic and educational exchange.
- Interested scholars affiliated with the participating institutions were encouraged to submit an abstract for inclusion in the program. Population Studies is a broad, dynamic, and evolving field built on multidisciplinary scholarship. Although quantitative and demographic methods are the core of Population Studies, the field draws on the perspectives of many disciplines, including (but not limited to): anthropology, biology, ecology and environmental sciences, economics, history, policy, public health, and sociology. Therefore, a broad range of academic work related to health and population has been considered.
