Graduation remarks from the International Affairs Director, Tom Zeiler, for the class of 2020. Congratuations graduates!

Welcome to this virtual celebration of your completion of the International Affairs major. We know that you had an unusual end to a great career here at CU, but like your family and friends, we - the International Affairs faculty and staff - congratulate you on this milestone and expect that your academic achievements will open great opportunities for further study or careers, whether in the United States or in the global arena.

A PDF of the graduation program, including class of 2020 graduate names, has been emailed to all graduating students. If any students and families would like the PDF emailed to them, please send a request to IAFS@colorado.edu.

To IAFS graduates of spring, summer, or fall 2020:

graduation cap with globeFirst and foremost, congratulations on graduating from the University of Colorado Boulder! Although the university has cancelled all in-person spring commencement activities, including the university-wide ceremony and departmental recognition ceremonies, due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to celebrate you! If you have any questions, please email IAFS@colorado.edu. We are proud of you and honored to call you an IAFS alumni!

Spring 2021
We know many of you will have travelled or moved beyond Boulder, and we hope you (with your families and friends) will be able to return and participate in the Spring 2021 graduation ceremony for International Affairs. The Spring 2021 ceremony is dependent on status updates and impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. If we are able to have a Spring 2021 ceremony, we will have special recognition for the graduates that would have walked in the 2020 ceremony and you will all be able to walk across the stage with personal recognition in our spring 2021 graduation program. In January 2021, we will reach out to you to see if you are planning to return and the details for that (presumed) ceremony.
