New Employee Mandatory Training

  1. New Employee Orientation Program
Our orientation program provides you with valuable information -- all you ever wanted to know about being an employee at CU-Boulder. Making connections with others and learning about the many resources available to you on campus will lay the groundwork for an enjoyable and successful career.
How to sign up for orientation
New employees should call 303-492-8103 to sign up for the next available new employee orientation session. Sessions are held on Thursday mornings from 8:15 a.m. to noon. New employee orientation is also offered in Spanish.
Click here to view the New Employee Orientation Schedule.

  2. Health benefits
You have 31 days to sign up for your health benefits. We encourage you to sign up as early as possible. Benefits information is available from Payroll and Benefits Services. To reserve your place at an orientation meeting, contact the PBS Reception Desk @ 303/735-6500 (option 0).

  3. Discrimination and Harassment
In order to create a positive learning, working and living environment, we must provide an atmosphere free of discrimination and harassment based upon race, color, national origin, gender, age, creed, religion, sexual orientation, disability, and veteran status. University of Colorado at Boulder (UCB) staff and student employees must attend a discrimination and harassment workshop within their first 30 days of hire.

All UCB faculty members must attend a discrimination and harassment workshop within their first semester of hire. After this initial workshop, all employees are required to attend a discrimination and harassment workshop at least once every five years. There is no need to register for Discrimination and Harassment training.

  4. Performance Management (Mandatory for supervisors of classified staff only)
Performance Management training is available on a monthly basis. Training is available in Spanish upon request.
