Letter to ApplicantsDear Prospective Applicant: Thank you for your inquiry about the graduate program in History at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Applicants to the program are considered for entrance for the FALL semester only. Admissions into the graduate program is very competitive. We receive approximately 200 applications and of these approximately 40 are admitted. The typical scores for those students admitted are: undergraduate GPA 3.7, graduate GPA 3.9, and verbal GRE over 85%. APPLICATION DEADLINE: JANUARY 1 of the year for which you are applying. (for both Admissions and Fellowships) Application materials for the University of Colorado's Graduate Program are available here: http://www.colorado.edu/prospective/graduate/apply/ GRE scores should be sent to both the Registrar's Office and to the department. The institutional code for CU is 4841. The departmental code for history is 2701. Your application cannot be considered by our Graduate Studies Committee until your application fee ($50, payable to the University of Colorado) has been paid and all of the application credentials have been received. To be considered official, transcripts must be mailed directly from the institution attended to the Graduate Admissions Office. The following materials must be received and processed by the Graduate Admissions Office before your application for admission to our graduate program may be considered.
