Submitting Your Final Paper to Turnitin.com
IMPORTANT: When you upload your paper, make sure that the file name is your last name.
In addition to submitting the paper copy of your final paper to your TA, you must also submit an electronic copy to the plagiarism screening service Turnitin.com. This electronic copy is due by midnight on December 9. You will not receive credit for your paper if you do not submit it to Turnitin.com.
Enrolling in Turnitin.com
You must enroll in Turnitin.com before you can submit your paper. The enrollment process should take only a few minutes. Make a note of your Class ID and Class enrollment password (available from your TA).
1) Go to <www.turnitin.com>.
2) Click on “new users” (in top right-hand corner) and follow instructions.
Submitting a Paper to Turnitin.com
1) Go to <www.turnitin.com> and log in with the password you created for yourself.
2) Click on IAFS 1000. Then click on your recitation.
3) (Optional) If you wish, you can submit a draft of your paper. Next to “Paper draft (optional),” you’ll see a button labeled “submit.” Click “submit” and follow instructions.
4) (Required) Next to “FINAL PAPER (REQUIRED),” you’ll see a button labeled “submit.” Click “submit” and follow instructions. IMPORTANT: make sure your file name is your last name. Otherwise it will be very difficult for us to figure out whose paper is whose.
5) To view your originality report, you may need to log out and log back in. You may also need to allow some time for the report to be generated. Once the report has been generated, you’ll see a colored box with a percentage, on the same line as your paper title. Click on this box to view your full originality report.
