Submitting Papers to Turnitin.com

In addition to submitting the paper copy of your assignment to me, you must submit an electronic copy to the plagiarism screening service Turnitin.com.  This electronic copy is due by 5pm on the day the assignment is due.  You will not receive credit for your paper if you do not submit it to Turnitin.com.

Enrolling in Turnitin.com

You must enroll in Turnitin.com before you can submit your paper.  The enrollment process should take only a few minutes.

1) Go to <www.turnitin.com>.

2) Click on “New Users” and follow instructions (or log in to your pre-existing account).

Submitting a Paper to Turnitin.com

1) Go to <www.turnitin.com> and log in with the password you created for yourself.

2) Click on Hist 4339.

3) (Optional) If you wish, you can submit a draft of your review.  Next to “Ngugi review (draft--optional),” click “More actions,” then “submit,” and follow instructions.

4) (Required) Next to “Ngugi review (FINAL—REQUIRED),” click “More actions,” then “submit,” and follow instructions.

5) To view your originality report, you may need to log out and log back in.  You may also need to allow some time for the report to be generated.  Once the report has been generated, you’ll see a colored box with a percentage on the same line as your paper title.  Click on this box to view your full originality report.
