Links to Useful Web Pages
The following links will take you directly to the web page described. All of them have been viewed by the staff at Colorado History Day and have been judged to be of genuine value to the history researcher. Keep in mind, of course, that you will have to evaluate each of them for its own merits given your specific subject. You will have to decide, if you choose to use information from a web site, whether your use constitutes primary or secondary source information. As always, make sure to cite the source properly if you use it (click the National History Day Link above for citation guidelines). The proper citation of a web page will include the Universal Resource Locator, or URL (address), the original source (the museum or archive that digitized the source, or the publisher), the date accessed, the date the source was originally published, and author. This list hardly presumes to be comprehensive. There are thousands upon thousands of sites on the internet. This list does contain some fine examples of web sites that you can use to compare against other sites you will undoubtedly find, though. Periodically, we plan to add more sites that we find to be useful and accurate.
