National Condom Week - Be Prepared Week
National Condom Week is the week of Valentine's Day. We will organize 2-3 campus Condom Zaps for this week. We also have a special HIV testing clinic and information tables throughout the week.
HIV/AIDS Awareness and Prevention
- AIDS Awareness Month - A month-long (October 1 - 31) AIDS awareness campaign conducted in cooperation with the Boulder County AIDS Project, Boulder County Health Department and other community and campus AIDS education, prevention and service organizations.
- World AIDS Day - A day-long calendar of events conducted in collaboration with the Boulder County AIDS Project, Boulder County Health Department and other community and campus AIDS education, prevention and service organizations to be held on the C.U. Campus at the University Memorial Center.
- HIV Testing Program - A free (confidential ) by appointment, HIV testing clinic. The clinic is open some weekday evenings in Wardenburg during the fall and spring semesters. Sexual Health staff are the testers/counselors and are trained by the Sate Health Department. Sexual Health volunteers staff the check-in desk and distribute information.
"Safer Spring Break"
A collaborative event sponsored by the Community Health Education Department, involving Sexual Health, Wellness, SPEAD, and COURAGE in which volunteers from all three programs staff information tables at the University Memorial Center and the CU Recreation Center one week prior to Spring Break. Volunteer educators staffing the tables will distribute free condoms and lubricant, and educational and informational materials regarding sexually transmitted infections, safer sex practices, sexual health resources, HIV testing, and other sexual health information along with information and supplies from the other two programs. |
