Schedule an Appointment:

Call 303-492-5654 to schedule an appointment. If this is your first visit with Psychological Health & Psychiatry you will need to come into the clinic to fill out necessary paperwork (about 15 minutes) before scheduling your appointment.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your initial appointment to fill out any necessary paperwork. Self check-in computers are located on the first floor in the PHP waiting area. *Arriving more than 10 minutes late may result in your being rescheduled.

If you need to cancel your appointment:
Appointments must be cancelled by 5PM the business day before your appointment by calling 303-492-5654.

Late cancellations and missed appointments may result in an $80 charge.

Mission of PHP

The mission of PHP is to provide culturally sensitive psychological healthcare to CU students in order to facilitate healthy psychosocial and academic growth, and to provide training to future psychologists and social workers.

About PHP

PHP is a multidisciplinary university clinic including staff from the fields of social work, nursing, psychology, psychiatry and counseling. Our aim is to provide the highest quality psychological health services in a time-efficient, clinically sound and sensitive manner, so that no student is turned away from receiving care.

Our services include: 

  • Same day Crisis Care evaluations
  • Individual, couples, and group psychotherapy
  • Consultation to students and the general University community
  • Psychiatric evaluation and medication management
  • Prescription assistance for those without funds
  • Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) screening, Learning Disability Assessment and General Psychological Testing
  • Substance abuse evaluation, treatment, and psycho-educational diversion programs
  • Eating disorders evaluation and treatment
  • Treatment and follow-up for CU students who have been hospitalized
  • Referrals to community providers
  • Facilitated withdrawal from the University for mental health reasons
  • Recommendations for retroactive withdrawals for mental health reasons

Students who have purchased the CU Student Gold Health Insurance are seen in the clinic without additional payment, except for $20 copays for individual therapy after 15 visits per policy year (August 18, 2013 to August 17, 2014). Fees also apply for ADHD/learning disability assessments. 

Students without the Student Gold Health Insurance may be seen on a fee-for-service basis.

We strive to see students as soon as possible. Some delays may occur for appointments depending on demand for services.
