Substance Abuse Services
We offer a variety of services to educate students about the choices they make when using alcohol and other drugs to prevent substance abuse from becoming a problem, and to treat substance abuse problems when they occur.
Focus on Alcohol Concerns (FAC)
A 6-hour educational program offered as a court diversion class for students who are cited for underage drinking, either in the community, on campus, or in the residence halls.

Individual Evaluation and Assessment
A thorough substance abuse evaluation is a first step to help a student determine if their substance use pattern has crossed the line into abuse or dependence. Substance abuse evaluations typically take two sessions to complete. They include screening for co-occuring disorders and feedback to the student regarding recommendations.
Individual Therapy
Therapy is available specifically for substance abuse problems. Services include the diagnostic evaluation and assessment (noted above), brief individual therapy, and referrals to group or more intensive programs in the community if needed.
STARS Program
STARS (Striving To Achieve Real Success) is a treatment program that works to intervene with students when issues with substance use first start to appear.
