Maristela Smith

MSW • Psychological Health & Psychiatry

Maristela is completing her PhD in Clinical Psychology with a focus on depth psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute. She has a MSW from the University of Denver. Her experience in the mental health field includes providing individual and group therapy to adult women suffering with a range of emotional issues. She has worked with children in an elementary school setting and most recently with survivors of sexual abuse. Maristela attributes her genuine compassion, strong relational skills and cultural background as the facilitators for a spontaneous interaction with diverse populations.

Areas of interest: trauma, identity development, group work and psychodynamic theory. Maristela is a native of Brazil with fluency in Portuguese and Spanish languages
