Howard Snooks

Howard has been in practice as a clinical social worker for thirty-five years.  He received his MSW from Smith College in 1975 and his Ph.D. from Smith College in 1992.  Howard is board certified and licensed.  He is a distinguished practitioner in the National Academies of Practice.  The American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work has recognized Howard by dedicating an award in his name to the graduate school of social work that has the highest number of applicants for the Board’s Judith Holme Award.

In Howard’s role in PHP, he provides individual, couples, and group psychotherapy to students who present with a wide range of issues.

Howard enjoys working with the college-age population and appreciates the collegiality and the learning opportunities afforded through PHP.

Areas of Interest: Relationship issues, management of anxiety, and group therapy

My favorite thing about working at Wardenburg is

being part of a clinic rather than working all on my own. More social interaction with wise people and support for work.
