Cheryl came to PHP from the Mental Health Center of Boulder County where she served as a therapist providing individual and group therapy for English and Spanish speaking teens and adults. Other duties included training and supervising graduate interns and leading multicultural diversity trainings for incoming interns at the Mental Health Center. She is an Adjunct Faculty member at Naropa University where she teaches psychopathology in the Transpersonal Counseling Department.
Cheryl has special training in Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and she is certified in Mind Energy Body Psychotherapy. She is fluent in Spanish, has traveled extensively in South America.
