Alexandra Davidson

Alexandra is a doctoral psychology intern working toward her Psy.D. in clinical psychology from the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium. She has experience in a number of different settings, including medical centers, veterans' hospitals, and university counseling centers. These diverse environments have enabled her to work with and learn from individuals with varied backgrounds and presenting concerns. 

Alexandra's training has focused upon mindfulness-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychodynamic Therapy. She also has a special interest in Positive Psychology, and works with students to recognize and build upon personal strengths, cultivate resilience, and enhance well-being. Alexandra's approach highlights openness, authenticity, collaboration, and respect.

Areas of Interest
Mindfulness and acceptance, stress management, adjusting to life transitions, self-growth/identity development, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders.
