Past Annual Workshops

Materials from Past Workshops:

Each July, the Natural Hazards Center hosts the annual, invitational Hazards Research and Applications Workshop involving close to 400 federal, state, and local emergency officials; representatives of nonprofit, humanitarian organizations; hazards researchers; disaster planners for private industry; and a host of other persons dedicated to alleviating the pain and loss inflicted by disasters.

Abstract and session summaries from past annual workshop are available online or, for workshops through 2006, you may purchase a hardcopy of the Workshop Notebook, which contains the session summaries, abstracts of the hazards research presented, and descriptions of the programs and projects discussed, along with the agenda and participant list.

The cost of the notebook is $24, plus $5 for shipping within the United States; complete ordering information is available at our publications purchasing page. Please contact Diane Smith, Office Manager at diane.smith@colorado.edu or (303) 492-6818 for availability of previous years' notebooks.
