The Hazards Center
The NATURAL HAZARDS RESEARCH AND APPLICATIONS INFORMATION CENTER was founded to strengthen communication among researchers and the individuals and organizations concerned with mitigating natural disasters. The center is funded by the National Science Foundation, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the U.S. Geological Survey, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Department of Transportation, the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, the U.S. Forest Service, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Institute for Business and Home Safety, and the Public Entity Risk Institute.
