Effective public speaking is essential to creating a dynamic learning environment, and to cultivating leadership potential, both in the classroom and in the world. But what are the secrets of successful public speaking? And how can you utilize the qualities of your own voice strategically, through emphasis and inflection, to enhance the way you organize and present information, and thus to facilitate more active student engagement? This panel discussion explores the relationship between voice, confidence, and classroom presence, and offers practical tips for finding, developing, and making the most of your voice and thus honing your pedagogical style to suit the needs of large lecture classes and more intimate seminar situations.
