Classes begin
Masters students must submit to the Graduate School a Candidacy Application for an Advanced Degree. Applications received after this date may not be processed in time for this semester's commencement. Applications must have student and departmental approval when submitted.
Masters students submit the Application for Diploma (diploma card) to give notification of your intent to graduate in this semester and to order your diploma.

Doctoral Students submit to the Graduate School a typed copy of exact Title of Dissertation. This title will appear on your transcript. |
July 11 |
Last day for final oral exam in defense of doctoral dissertations for this semester's commencement. Graduate School must have written notification of final examination and dissertation committee at least two weeks prior to exam. This information should be provided on the Doctoral Examination Report and Leaflet. |
July 18 |
Final copy of doctoral dissertation due in to Graduate School for this semester's commencement.* The dissertation should be submitted online at http://dissertations.umi.com/colorado/ and a signature page with original signatures must be turned in to the Graduate School Student Services Office (Regent 1B53).
* The Graduate School recommends that you have your thesis format pre-checked before submitting the final copy. You can e-mail the document to one of our advisors for a pre-check at gradinfo@colorado.edu, or call (303) 492-8220 to make an appointment to bring it in.
