Research interests include algebra, algebraic geometry, combinatorics, differential equations, differential geometry, logic and foundations, modern analysis, noncommutative geometry, number theory, operator algebras, probability and topology.
Requires 30 semester hours of approved graduate study with a presentation of a mathematics project or thesis before a faculty committee.
MS in Applied Mathematics
Requires 30 hours of graduate course work, at least 18 hours in the mathematics department and at least six hours in a minor area where mathematics plays a significant role, and a presentation of a mathematics project or thesis before a faculty committee.
Requires 30 hours of approved graduate study and 30 hours of dissertation credit, successful completion of preliminary and comprehensive examinations and a successful dissertation defense.
