After working as an Assistant Professor of English and LGBT Studies at CU-Boulder from 2003-2011, Scarlet became Director the GLBTQ Resource Center in January, 2012. She has an MA in English from the University of Miami and a Ph.D. in English with a concentration in Gender and Sexuality Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. Committed both to queer studies scholarship and activism, Scarlet has published a book and articles on laboring-class gender and sexuality, female masculinity, queering heterosexuality, and Women's Studies on the U.S./Mexico Border. Her activist work includes participation in Lesbian Avengers and ACT-UP in the early 1990's and the Coalition Against Violence toward Women and Families on the Border in El Paso, Texas. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, seeing independent films, and traveling. | |

Chase Folsom Chase received an MFA in Ceramics here at CU Boulder. He holds a BFA from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. His work is based in personal experience of desire and romance. Most recently he was featured in Daily Serving, an international contemporary art publication. His current favorite artists include Cathy Wilkes, Simone Decker, and Phyllida Barlow. In his spare time he enjoys cooking, travel, and trying to play the piano. |

Beth Bernard Beth is a sophomore studying Sociology and Technology, Arts, and Media. As the Peer Education Coordinator, Beth will be working with volunteers to provide presentations about the GLBTQ community at and around CU. In her free time, she enjoys eating peanut butter out of the jar, playing with her kitten, outdoor adventures, and epic game nights. |

Vasanth Rajasekar Outreach and Events Coordinator Email: vasanth.rajasekar@colorado.edu Vasanth is a second year under graduate student pursuing degrees in Integrative Physiology, Psychology, and Music. As the Outreach and Events coordinator, Vasanth works to get and train volunteers, spread word about the RC’s mission and programs, and help plan events with other student groups. He likes Art Installations, mid-afternoon tea, exploring, and going on adventures with his friends. | |

Morgan Seamont As the Graduate Student Outreach and Program Assessment Coordinator starting Fall 2011, Morgan aims to get graduate students more involved with center as well as assessing how the GLBTQRC is meeting the needs of everyone on campus. He has been serving as a Peer Educator for the GLBTQRC and works with Out Boulder's Speak Out program. He holds a Master's degree in Anthropology specializing in Archaeology, and is now working towards a PhD in Cultural Anthropology. In his spare time he enjoys watching movies, reading anything non-academic, soaking his feet in Boulder Creek, and sampling the great breweries in the area. |

Ayden Youngquist Ayden is a senior finishing up a Bachelor’s in Sociology with an emphasis in criminology and qualitative research. As the Summer Intern, Ayden is responsible for the maintenance of the RC’s website and outreach/publicity, coordinating and training volunteers, assisting with RC programming, and other self-directed projects for the improvement of the center. In their free time, they enjoy blogging, reading fanfiction, and Netflix marathons. |
