The Task Force therefore recommended that the University develop more effective support services for lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender individuals and that the creation of the Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual Resource Center was needed to serve as the focal point of coordinated service for GLBTQIA groups on and off campus.
CU-Boulder scored 17 out of 20 on The Advocate's "Gay Point Scale," highlighting our commitment to creating a great environment for LGBT students! Although the Center's focus is on Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender issues, we recognize the importance of advocating on behalf of other under-represented communities. We also recognize the importance of addressing issues of injustice and the inner-connections of discrimination on the basis of race, class, gender, ability, age and other issues.
