Distributed Studies Program in Germanic StudiesThe Department of Germanic & Slavic Languages & Literatures participates in the Distributed Studies Program B.A.; see the University of Colorado Catalog for the requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences. I. Germanic Studies as Primary Area30 hours of course work in Germanic Studies beyond first-year German (or equivalent) are required, of which at least 15 must be upper division. The following courses (or their equivalent) must be completed:
Plus at least two courses in literature/culture at the 3000 or 4000 level in German. The remaining courses are to be German departmental courses at any level in English or German (except any first-year language course). II. Germanic Studies as Secondary Area15 hours of course work in Germanic Studies beyond first-year German (or equivalent) are required, of which at least 9 must be upper division. The following courses (or their equivalent) must be completed:
