Application Checklist & Timeline
- Application for Admission, Parts I and II (ApplyYourself )
- Application Fee (can be paid with credit card through ApplyYourself or with check mailed to department)
- 3 letters of recommendation (to be submitted by recommender through ApplyYourself, or mailed directly to department by recommender).
- Official Transcripts (two official transcripts sent directly to department from each university attended)
- Writing Sample (optional, see MA Application Information for details)
- GRE scores (optional, but strongly recommended)
- TOEFL scores (required for international students)
- Application for Teaching Assistantship (if applying for TA funding)
- Completed applications are due to GSLL by Feb 1. Deadline for international students is Jan. 1. (Late applications may be accepted if positions are still available)
- GSLL will send out acceptance/rejection letters in March.
If Accepted:
- Return your signed offer letter by April 15.
- You will receive your official acceptance to CU from the Office of Admissions.
- Confirm your intent to enroll with the university and send in a $200 deposit (International students will have the $200 deposit deferred until arrival on campus).
- You will receive registration information from the Office of Admissions
- Meet with the Associate Chair of Graduate Studies in German (this can be done via email or phone).
- Register for courses (it is important that you register for courses as soon as possible )
