Alexandra Skewes - RA
Alex is a petrologist/economic geologist with interest in the relation between etallogenesis, magmatism and tectonics, and also mineral economics and environmental issues related to the mining industry. She has worked on projects concerning petrology of various hydrothermal ore deposits, including Cu-Mo porphyry and breccia, Au-Ag epithermal and Cu-stratabound deposits by way of fluid inclusions, stable isotopes and other geochemical techniques.

Emily runs a thermal ionization mass spectrometer lab and a level 10-100 clean room. Neodymium, strontium and lead isotopic compositions are determined on rock and water samples.
