Ken,
Like very much the idea of a series of "profile" trips. I've
been working on one "intermittently" that goes from the coast
of West AFrica across the ecological zones: Guinea, Sudanian,
Sahelian, Saharan, Mediterranean.
Have been trying to finish the two "local" ones I've started first
in the Salt Lake area (because of needs in my course). They also
follow a type of transect from "basin bottom - the Great Salt Lake"
up to mountain-top (upslope) through diverse altitudinal zones.
I'll bring you up to date on these virtual trips when I get to Austin.
