I am planning to work on modules dealing with soils
(in Michigan) and the geomorphology of NE Ohio this
summer. I'm not sure whether they would "fit" better
as Virtual Fieldtrips or Phys.Geog. modules (the same
problem we had last year), but I see a need for them
in my own courses.
One module topic I have not seen any discussion of, but
which I believe would be useful in my classes, is
a module (or modules) dealing specifically with
climate. There is a lot of material on-line, including
instructional material (accessible from the link I've included),
that deal with weather and meteorology. There is also
a lot of climate DATA available on-line, if you are
willing to sort through it. Are there any
good geographical treatments of climate in an instructional
module? Or is anyone thinking of making one?
