The thinking behind drawing a distinction between intro human and cultural geography in the working groups is that the intro human group will focus on developing materials for the freshman-level intro human course every geography department in the universe has. You know the one - a week on population geography, one on agriculture, one on urban geog., one on religion, language. . . The cultural group will cover everything else: upper-level courses, more "specialized" class materials for advanced students, current research, (the really neat stuff).
